Sometimes you may run into a problem with navi-x which causes you to have to remove the program and re install as an attempt to fix the issue. Step-by-Step Guide How to install XBMC on your Apple TV

NitoTV is an application that is added to your device when you have jailbroken it and ran FileCore’s ATV Flash (Black). Although there is a little more to it that this, it will allow you sto install and run various applications on the ATV. Install the kextloader, a variety of kexts/frameworks/binaries, perian, mplayer codecs, perform the safe update, play nes, snes, genesis, game gear and gameboy advanced roms, view RSS feeds and 3-day Weather forecast, and much much more! One of the key features is that you will notice a new “Maintenance” icon on the ATV springboard, this is where you will be able to install various addons and perform safe updates.

Adding third part addons to your jailbroken Apple TV is a little different to adding tweaks and application to your jailbroken iPhone, iPad or iPod as the Apple TV does not have Cydia. In order to add third party addons to your Apple TV you basically need to SHSH to the device and install them via a .zip file. Or a simpler way to install them is via the Fusion Drive which is installed on the Apple TV.

Installing XBMC can be done from your Apple TV using ATV Flash (black) – if you decided on that rout. This is done via NitoTV from your main screen on the ATV. Once you have XBMC installed on the ATV this is when you will need to add the third party addons.

Apple TV 3 Owners: Unfortunately if you own an Apple TV 3rd generation you are going to have to sit back and wait for a jailbreak to be available. There is currently no jailbreak for an ATV 3 available.
