Here’s a niffty little tweak for all of you who love to customise your iDevice. LockScreen Settings is a simple tweak available in Cydia that will allow you to get rid or hide certain elements of the lock screen such as the clock, status bar, time etc. This tweak is a great addition to your jailbreak tweak collection especially if you currently have a great lock screen clock widget that you want to install but it just doesn’t look quite right when you the default clock still active. This is where LockScreen settings comes in handy!
LockScreen Settings is essentially a separate settings page designated for your lock screen only. Once you have installed the tweak via Cydia, you will notice that in your defualt settings app there will be a new icon for LockScreen Settings. From with in that settings page you will be able to:
- Show/Hide Status Bar Time
- Hide Clock
- Show/Hide Date
- Change The Date Font Colour
- Hide SliderBar
- Hide Battery & Show Wallpaper
For the purpose of this article I have switched on all the settings and change my date font to yellow (looks horrific, but luckily this just for 5 minutes while I write this).
Using the ‘Hide SliderBar’ does not mean that you do not have to slide to unlock. All you need to to is slide to unlock as you normally would, but the slider will be invisible. Kind of cool!
You can download LockScreen Settings for free via the BigBoss repo in Cydia. Simply search for ‘LockScreen Settings’ (you may have to refresh your sources in order for the tweak to display, simply head to changes>refresh and make any updates necessary)
