We recently posted an article on how to add XBMC to your iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch, that is all well and good however with out the additional addons there is not much point in having XBMC on your device. So, we are going to take it one step further now and tell you how to add popular addons like Navi-X, 1Channel, IceFilms, SportsDevil etc to your iOS device. It is a fairly simple process however requires a few applications that can be found on Cydia.
Before we begin, you will need:
- An iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch that is jailbroken
- iFile [Available on Cydia via the BigBoss Repository]
- Safari Download Manager [Available on Cydia via the BigBoss Repository]
If you have not yet jailbroken your iOS device then you can find the following guides and downloads for your operating system below.
MAC OS x Evasi0n Jailbreak Tutorial
Windows Evasi0n Jailbreak Tutorial
Linux Evasi0n Jailbreak Tutorial
For the sake of this tutorial we are going to install the popular program Navi-X to our XBMC portal on our iOS device.
Here we go…
Step 1: Open up Safari on your device and open up the following URL > Download Navi-X 3.7.6
Step 2: Once you have clicked on the above link click download in order to download Navi-x to your device. (this will only work if you have Safari Download Manager installed from Cydia)

Step 3: Click on the downloads tab at the bottom you will then see your Navi-X_v37_6 file in you Safari Download Manager area. Click on the file and choose ‘Open in iFile’ (again, this will only work if you have iFile installed)

Step 4: From iFile hold your finger down on the Navi-X file in order to bring up the ‘select, select all or paste’ options you’re going to want to hold down and click ‘select’

Step 5: Once selected, hold it down again and this time click ‘cut’
Step 6: From here, you are going to need to click ‘mobile’ in the top left of the screen in order to take you back a page. You then need to click on ‘media’
Step 7: Create a new folder in the media file called ‘XMBC’ ( call it whatever you want really..)
To create new folder click edit > then hit the + at the bottom left > type in the name (XBMC) > done
Step 8: Open up the new XBMC folder hold your finger on the screen to bring up the paste option and hit ‘paste’

Step 9: Now that you have have pasted the file in to the folder you can close down iFile and open up XBMC on your device.
Step 10: Now click the little cog in the bottom left of the screen (settings) and then navigate to add-ons

Step 11: Click ‘install from zip file’ then click ‘home folder’ > ‘media’ > XBMC > locate the file that you downloaded from step 1 and click it in order to add the file to XBMC. You should see a white box in the bottom right pop up to say add on enabled.

Step 12: Now you can navigate back to the main screen, click programs where you should see Navi-X right there in front of you.

Step 13: Enjoy the show!
In order to add other repositories / channels to the device you would simply replace the downloaded file and repete the steps above. (Note: Navi-X is one of the few installed applications that will be sent to the ‘programs’ section of XBMC’ other will be sent to video section on the XBMC home screen.
Here are some of the popular channels that you can add to XBMC, simply click on link to download (use Safari on your iOS device to enable Safari Download Manager and repete the steps above).
1Channel [Download .zip file]
SportsDevil [Download .zip file]
IceFilms [Download .zip file]
