Nito Installer For Windows Users – Install XBMC To Your Apple TV With Ease

If you are lucky enough to own a second generation Apple TV and have jailbroken it then you are probably going to want to get the most out of by installing the popular media centre, XBMC. XBMC is a media portal which will allow you to install addons such as 1Channel, Navi-x, IceFilms, SportsDevil and much more wich will allow you to watch live tv, sports and movies completely free. There are several ways by which you can install XBMC to your Apple TV but I am just going to keep it simple and tell you about NitoInstaller for Windows.  NitoInstaller is a pretty cool piece of software that will run on both Windows and Mac that will give you the ability to install XBMC to your ATV in a few simple steps.

How To Install XBMC to your Apple TV using Nito Installer

 You are going to need to have jailbroken your Apple TV before you get started on this, to learn how to jailbreak your Apple TV using Seas0nPass follow our simple guide.

Step 1: Download and then Install the new “nito Installer” tool for Windows.

Step 2: Once downloaded double click to launch Nito Installer tool

Step 3: Once the tool is up and running click on the drop down box at the top and select your jailbroken Apple TV 2 device from the list.  In order for NitoInstaller to recognise the device both the ATV and your computer need to be powered on and connected to the same internet network.

Step 4: As soon as you have found the device and connected Nito Installer and ATV together simply click on the “Install XBMC” button. Don’t panic if this part takes a while, do not touch the device or the computer till the process is complete. On average it should take about 10 minutes for Nito Installer to complete the XBMC install.

Step 5: Once you have successfully installed the XBMC program you should see a green tick displayed and the ATV will reboot. Once it has rebooted you should then see XBMC on the main screen of your ATV. Job done!
