New Cydia Tweak, LivelyIcons Adds Animation To Your iOS Springboard Icons

Just a few weeks ago we were chatting to some users on Twitter about an upcoming cydia tweak called LivelyIcons. Well we are now happy to say that the tweak is available to download in cydia today! (well, it has been for a a day or so now). So if you missed the discussion that we had on Twitter about the tweak then you’re probably wondering what it’s all about.

Well it is a fairly stright forward tweak that essentially applies icon animations when you launch the chosen app  on your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad. Lets say for an example you choose to click on “Settings” on your iOS device depending on which LivelyIcon setting you have configured you will see the “Settings” app perform some sort of animation such as a bounce effect, pac man, counter clockwise etc which will perform right before the application opens. You can adjust the length of time the LivelyIcon animation performs for before actually opening the app. I prefer to have it quite low, otherwise it seems to take a while for the app to actually open and can get a little annoying.

LivelyIcon is actually a premium Cydia tweak and can be purchased from the cydia store via the BigBoss repository for $1.99. Some may think that it is a steep price to pay for a tweak that sole purpose is to animate your icons, however this particular tweak is a little special..
