When we jailbreak our iPhones we all love the amazing tweaks and applications that can be added via Cydia however one of the coolest things in my opinion is the ability to customise your iPhone lockscreen. After all the lockscreen the first thing that you see when you open up your device so why not ‘pimp’ it out a little.
Now as you probably know, there are 1,000′s of lockscreen customisations out there on cydia however I cam across this particular one the other day after someone mentioned it on Twitter and had to take a look. It’s called Colorflow Lockscreen and is available via cydia on the repo http://patrickmuff.ch/repo/. I’m going to throw this out there take it as you wish, however I think this is one of the most stylish looking lockscreen themes I have seen on an iPhone, ever.
To get the most out of colorflow lockscreen, you’re going to need to install lockscreen settings from cydia which will allow you to hide the standard lockscreen clock and status bar. You don’t have to do this however if you take a look at the pictures I have below I am sure that you will agree, it looks pretty slick! You will also need to have winterboard installed if you haven’t already, this can also be found on cydia via the BigBoss repo.
How to install Colorflow Lockscreen:
Step 1) Open cydia and click on manage > sources
Step 2) Click edit>add and then enter the URL http://patrickmuff.ch/repo then click add source
Step 3) Open up the Patrick Muff source and scroll down till you see colorflow. Open and click install. Let cydia do its thing.
Step 4) Open winterboard on your springboard, activate dslk – color flow and respring.
Step 5) Upon respring you should notice that colorflow is now activated.
As mentioned above, if you are sill seeing the standard lockscreen clock on colorflow then you need to installed lockscreen settings from cydia and apply the needed settings via your settings.app to remove the clock and status bar for a smooth clean finish!
So, what do you think? Is this the best looking lockscreen theme out there right now? Let us know your thoughts, do you have any other suggestions? Simply leave us a comment below or tweet us @iJailbreakthis
